    Crock Of The Century

Remember when I won my last little victory in court how I was rejoicing, saying that man gets the shaft in Virginia? Check this out: My youngest brother in upstate New York is battling for custody of his oldest son. His ex admitted on the stand to drug addiction. Her live-in junkie boyfriend perjured himself in court (judge called him a lying sleazebag and then gave him no punishment for perjury). My brother provides everything for his son from material to emotional. This is killing me. I worry sick about my nephew living in that house. A few months back, my brother was in Wal-Mart with his little boy (buying him clothes), and my brother smelled pot. He ushers his kid through the store as fast as he can, and as he's checking out, his boy says to him "Daddy I smelled pot back there". Now how does a 5 year-old know what that smells like (especially given his mom's history of drug abuse-which is why my brother split from her). I just thought Virginia was [censored] up. We got nothing on New York.

    Re: Crock Of The Century

It seems that anymore kids get caught in the middle and because you have an addiction, they don't want to take your kids away, for fear of jeopardizing the "addict". I think it is a crock of crap and it is just ridiculous. With all of the amendments and acts that have come about to help kids we still have a helluva long way to go on things. Hope things turn out the best for your brother though.
